If I apply for Membership to the ASHS does it cover all my family?

I would like to become a Member of the ASHS and also register a foal I have bred by artificial insemination. The mare is registered with the ASHS in my husband's name, but he is not a current Member. Can you please advise what level of Membership I require and also what forms are required to register the foal other than the Application for Registration? Also, can I lodge all forms at once or do I need to do my membership first?
Renewing Members from the past two years can pay online. Expired memberships over two years, or New members, need to complete an Application for Membership and lodge it to the Society. To be eligible to register or transfer a horse to your Membership, you need to be a Full or Youth (if under 18yrs) Member. Membership & Registration applications can be downloaded from the Society’s website and membership documentation may be submitted to the Society with other applications. The Membership must be financial to enable a registration to be considered.
Eligibility for registration will depend on whether or not the requirements for registration are satisfied in accordance with the Rules & Regulations. We would need further information to determine whether or not a horse is eligible and to enable us to determine the registration category, required procedures and fees.
In general, when lodging an Application for Registration, the ASH Breeding Certificate must be attached and the horse must have been branded. If the dam is registered in your husband’s membership and you wish the foal to be registered under your Membership, you will require your husband to sign the transfer section on the Application for Registration and a transfer fee will apply.
With regard to any progeny resulting from artificial insemination, the foal will be required to be DNA tested. After the required documentation has been lodged and fees paid, a DNA kit will be issued for the owner and an adult witness to collect and submit a hair sample for testing. Further information on registration is provided on the Society’s website and in the Rules & Regulations.
